The Nike 2024–25 NBA City Edition uniform for the Minnesota Timberwolves was shown today. The uniform conjures up visions of ice-covered lakes beneath a starry night sky, perfectly capturing Minnesota winters. A two-year narrative centered on the crucial role lakes and “lake life” play in Minnesota has culminated in this year’s jersey.
“Minnegans don’t just survive the winter months, we thrive,” stated Mike Grahl, the chief marketing officer for the Timberwolves and Lynx. “With an ice-cold celebration of Minnesota lake life, we are thrilled to wrap up Nike and the NBA’s two-year City Edition story arc.”
Timberwolves 2024-25 City Edition Uniform features:
The Color Scheme: The fresh white and stark black design freezes the essence of winter throughout the entirety of the uniform.
The Pattern: The featured wintry ice pattern was custom crafted and handmade in Bloomington, Minn.
The Wordmark: Carrying over the chassis from last season, the same MINNESOTA wordmark is proudly displayed across the chest.
The Sezzle Patch: The Timberwolves are proud to feature Sezzle as the team’s official jersey patch partner.
The Short Logo: The Timberwolves primary icon logo on the shorts is encased in black and white with the ice pattern frozen within, capturing the stark beauty of the season.
The Taping: An added touch of artistry can be found on the debossed white “Land of 10,000 Lakes” trim, which resembles tracks pressed into snow.
The Waistband: The state of Minnesota is decked out in white silicone for a tone-on-tone look.
The Anthem: “Land of 10,000 Lakes” is screen printed in black and flanked by our North Stars.

On November 17, the accompanying City Edition court will also premiere. In stark contrast to the white outfits, the apron is painted pure black to resemble the night sky, with the phrase “Land of 10,000 Lakes” displayed along the sideline. The Timberwolves logo at center court is frozen over with the ice texture from the jersey, and the lanes gradually freeze over, turning the black apron to a crisp white with the bespoke ice pattern.
