Choosing to bat first, Biratnagar established a target of 140 runs, finishing their 20 overs with a score of 139/7. Lokesh Bam was the highest scorer with 26 runs, assisted by Scott Edwards (45) and Nicholas Kirton (19). The bowlers of Pokhara delivered a strong performance, as Sagar Dhakal and Raymon Reifer took two wickets each, while Dinesh Kharel and Kushal Bhurtel secured one each.
Pursuing a target of 140, the Avengers reached 139/6 in 20 overs. Andries Gous led the innings with 39 runs, as Kushal Bhurtel (31) and Raymon Reifer (34) made important contributions. Pratish GC was the top bowler for Biratnagar, claiming four wickets.
The draw resulted in an exciting super over. Batting first, Pokhara established a target of 19 runs, courtesy of Reifer’s explosive hitting against Biratnagar’s skipper Sandeep Lamichhane. Reifer hit two sixes and a four within the first four balls of the over.
In response, Biratnagar scored only five runs in the super over, unable to hit any boundaries against Reifer’s steady bowling. Martin Guptill and Nicholas Kirton found it difficult to identify the gaps, securing the win for Pokhara.
With this victory, Pokhara maintains its playoff ambitions, whereas Biratnagar becomes the second team, alongside Lumbini Lions, to be eliminated from playoff hopes.
