Nepal has reached the final of the SAFF Women’s Championship and will face Bangladesh

After the semifinals with India at the Dashharath stadium, Nepal won the place in the Finals of the Women’s Women’s Championship.

The semi-final was full of drama as Nepal’s star striker Rekha Paudel received a red card early in the second half, reducing Nepal to just 10 men on the field. His dismissal led to a brief halt in the match as fans expressed their displeasure, with another key player, Sabitra Bhandari, stepping in to calm the crowd and appealing for support and patience. Both teams showed resilience in the early stages of the match and as soon as play resumed after a short break, Nepal’s Bhandari scored. 

India were ahead until Sabitola’s goal. In the final, Nepal will face Bangladesh, who comfortably beat Bhutan 7-1 in the day’s other semi-final.
