Nepal and Bhutan Draw in Sunday’s Women’s U-19 Match

Nepal and Bhutan ended in a 1-1 tie during a Women’s U-19 international friendly on Sunday at Dasharath Stadium.

Sushila KC initiated the scoring for Nepal with an impressive shot from outside the box in the 47th minute. Nonetheless, this objective did not turn out to be conclusive, as Bhutan’s Phuntsho Choden leveled the score in the 80th minute.

The game also highlighted a key defensive play by Nepal’s defender Simran Rai, who executed an impressive goal-line clearance using a header in the 20th minute, preventing Bhutan’s Choki Om from netting a goal. In addition to this, neither team was able to generate notable attacking chances during the first half.

In their last Women’s U-16 friendly, Bhutan triumphed over Nepal 5-1.
