The troubling pattern of celebrity athletes experiencing break-ins persisted over the weekend … as Luka Doncic’s home in the Dallas area was invaded.
As per the Mavericks star’s business manager, Lara Beth Seager, the burglary took place on Friday night … while the Mavs were in Phoenix for a matchup with the Suns.
Thankfully, no one was around when it happened, according to Seager’s account as well as “Luka and his family are unharmed.”
“Luka has submitted a police report,” Seager mentioned, “and an inquiry is currently in progress.”
Documents from the police, acquired by The Dallas Morning News, indicate that at least one individual accessed Doncic’s residence through a master bedroom window … and stole $30,000 in jewelry, before fleeing the location.
The source indicated that no arrests have been conducted so far.
Doncic is presently missing Mavericks games due to a calf injury. He’s projected to be out for a minimum of the next month for recovery. Dallas, on the other hand, is not scheduled to have another home game until January 3, when it faces Cleveland at the American Airlines Center.
Doncic is now, sadly, one of many prominent athletes who have recently experienced break-ins at their residences. In the NFL, superstars such as Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, and Linval Joseph have all experienced their homes being ransacked. In the NBA, Bobby Portis and Mike Conley Jr. have also experienced hits to their locations. Additionally, in the NHL, Tyler Seguin experienced a burglary incident earlier this year too.
It remains uncertain whether all are linked … however, league officials have issued memos to their players advising them to enhance security — as the series of national break-ins persists.
