James (Jimmy) Neesham, an all-rounder from New Zealand, has officially joined the Janakpur Bolts in preparation for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 season. Bowling using right hand and batting with the left, Neesham is recognized for his versatility and has experience in all three international cricket formats.
He has played in 12 Test matches, 79 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), and 76 One Day Internationals (ODIs), collecting over 3,000 runs while taking over 100 wickets throughout his career.
Neesham’s explosive batting style along with his level of experience make him an amazing asset to the Janakpur Bolts, providing them a competitive edge in the league. His track record as a power hitter and all-around athlete will have a big impact on the team’s performance.
The Janakpur Bolts have also selected Pubudu Dassanayake, a former Nepal coach, as their head coach. Additionally, the team hired Bardan Chalise as director of cricket, reflecting an overall focus on enhancing team management and efficiency.
Aasif Sheikh is also one of the Janakpur Bolts’ standout players. During the NPL players auction, the team also made wise purchases, acquiring players Kishore Mahato, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Anil Sah from A category.
Hemant Dhami, Arniko Yadav, Sher Malla, and Rupesh Singh are among the team’s remaining notable players as they prepare for the Nepal Premier League will take place in Kathmandu from November 30 (Mangsir 15) to December 21 (Paush 6).
