Winger Abdul Fatawu suffered an ACL injury while playing for Ghana during the international break, which will keep him out of action for the rest of the season, Leicester City manager Steve Cooper announced on Thursday.
Fatawu suffered a major injury in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Angola on Friday.
The 20-year-old played in all 11 of Leicester City’s league games this season but will now be out for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury.
“It is a significant injury.” Prior to the forthcoming home game against Chelsea, Cooper voiced his disappointment about the young player’s severe ACL injury.
