As rain stops the U-19 Women’s Asia Cup Super Four match, Nepal and Sri Lanka split points

Nepal are set to face Bangladesh on Friday in their next Super Four fixture.

The U-19 ACC Women’s Asia Cup Super Four game between Nepal and Sri Lanka at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur was canceled due to rain on Thursday. Each team received one point after the cancellation.

Nepal chose to bat first after winning the toss and made an early impact, taking a wicket from Sri Lanka in the first over. However, rain struck soon after and persisted relentlessly, leading to the cancellation of the match.

Nepal had earlier triumphed over Pakistan by six wickets to earn a spot in the Super Four and shared points with India after their group stage match was also called off because of rain. The Super Four phase includes Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Nepal is scheduled to play against Bangladesh on Friday in their upcoming Super Four match.
