The Turkey international has struggled for playing time at the Bernabeu this season, with manager Carlo Ancelotti having plenty of other options in attack, limiting the highly rated 19 year old’s opportunities on the pitch.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both scouted Güler in recent times, but Real Madrid were thought to consider him untouchable in the summer and, despite interest from other clubs, the Whites opted to keep him. Now, however, it remains to be seen if Guler is really as important to Real Madrid as previously indicated, with Ancelotti simply not finding any room for him in the Los Blancos line up.
Arda Guler transfer: Should he leave Real Madrid for Arsenal or Liverpool?
Güler looked like a promising player when he first moved to Madrid and it seemed inevitable that he would get his chance in the team at some point, but that has yet to happen.
The former Fenerbahçe winger probably won’t have to wait long for his breakthrough and, should he leave, it seems he still has suitors in England willing to give him a chance. Liverpool should definitely add a new attacking player given the doubts over Mohamed Salah’s future as he is in the final year of his contract, while Cody Gakpo has been a bit inconsistent and Federico Chiesa hasn’t impressed much since his arrival.
Arsenal, meanwhile, definitely need more depth in their squad behind Bukayo Saka as they are definitely missing something with him due to injury. The Gunners may also feel there is room for Güler as an option in a more central position, with the option to play behind Martin Odegaard, but there is no replacement available if he is injured.
